Upon request, the Specialized Information Service digitizes analog texts for individual research or for general access via our digital copies server as part of our Digitization on Demand (DoD) service.
This service can also be used to create digital versions of your own works for secondary publication in Open Access—for example, on our EthnOA_text server.
The FID covers any necessary legal rights research and communication regarding licenses.
Using DoD
- Please check whether the text is part of in the HU collection and send us the bibliographic details and the shelfmark from the HU Primus catalog.
- We will check whether the text fits our collection policy, whether it is already freely accessible in digital form, and answer questions around copyright and usage rights. We will get back to you with feedback if digitization is not necessary or possible for these reasons. If necessary, we license out-of-print works through a service provided by the German National Library.
- After digitization, we will send you a link to the digitized copy.
Please send orders to: info[at]evifa.de with the subject line “DoD Request”
