The entire network meets twice a year to discuss overarching issues and to update the working groups among themselves. Furthermore, there are topic-specific meetings, often organised by the individual working groups, to which all members of the network are invited. The working groups also meet internally on a regular basis to work on their topics. The network and its working groups are open to other interested parties who would like to work on the topics and have a connection to the issues addressed. The establishment of further working groups is also possible. Contact to the network can be made via the email address Netzwerk.koloniale-kontexte[at]ub.hu-berlin.de. If you are interested in the topics of the working groups, you can also contact them directly.
WG Third-Party Funding
Consolidation of network work through third-party funding: clarification of the financial basis of network work and individual network projects

WG 3-way strategy
The aim of the working group is to critically and constructively accompany the implementation of the so-called 3-road strategy of the federal and state governments and to support it with information and feedback from the wider national and international research community. Currently, this relates in particular to the conception of the portal " Collections from Colonial Contexts" within the German Digital Library (DDB). Exchange and networking take place as needed.

WG Thesauri

WG International cooperation
Planning of international workshops based on the idea to focus on 1-2 partner countries for international networking and to start a pilot project here

WG Research tool
The working group is evaluating cooperative research tools and environments, how they can be used, configured, and potentially also developed. Members of the group introduce their own research practice and collaborative work, but we also invite external guests to share their experiences. Important criteria for our evaluation are suitability for multilingual provenance research, usability independent of location, sustainable research data management, open source, and easy handling for different actors. We are welcoming new members who would like to share their knowledge and practice and work with us on a catalogue of requirements!
