Workshop series: Introduction to PECE

This two-part online workshop series (13 Nov & 4 Dec) introduces the Platform for Experimental, Collaborative Ethnography (PECE) as a digital infrastructure for storing and analysing research data as well as publishing insights and results.

Summary

Description

Organised by the Specialised Information Service for Social and Cultural Anthropology (FID SKA) and the PECE.de Design Group

Collaborating with other researchers, students or research participants in the context of projects or classes is common among anthropologists. Increasingly this kind of collaboration happens digitally and asynchronously. Collaboratively working with data often requires the use of proprietary software. The Platform for Experimental, Collaborative Ethnography (PECE) offers an open source and free alternative for storing and analysing data as well as presenting insights from this work in multimodal publication formats (PECE essays).

The two online workshops will introduce the platform, its functions and how it can be used in different contexts of anthropological/ethnographic research and teaching.
