We are pleased to announce the upcoming mid-term meeting of the Working Group "Anthropology of Religion", where the members of the Working Group and all interested scholars will gather to explore the diverse and complex intersections of culture, belief, and practice in relation to religious traditions.

We invite submissions of abstracts and poster presentations on topics such as:

  • Rituals and ceremonies in religious communities
  • The role of religion in shaping social structures
  • Cross-cultural perspectives on religious beliefs and practices
  • Materiality and religion
  • Religion and politics
  • Religion and diaspora
  • The impact of globalization on religion
  • Gender and sexuality in religious contexts
