Die Arbeitsgruppe „Kultur und Ethik der Biomedizin“ unter Leitung von Univ.-Prof. Dr. Silke Schicktanz für Ethik und Geschichte der Medizin der Universitätsmedizin Göttingen forscht zu aktuellen Themen der Bio-, Wissenschafts- und Gesundheitsethik und ist international aktiv in der Forschung.

Derzeit sind zwei offene Stellen zu besetzen:

1. Eine wiss. Mitarbeiter*in,  50% TVL13

befristet auf 24 Monate, 01.09.22 bis 31.8.24

Die Arbeitsaufgaben umfassen die Koordination eines interdisziplinären Forschungsverbunds mit regionaler und internationaler Beteiligung im Bereich der Wissenschaftsethik.

Hierzu gehören u.a. 

• Organisation und Vorbereitung von Projekttreffen
• Interne und externe Kommunikation auf hohem professionellen Niveau
• Projektplanungskontrolle und Mittelbewirtschaftung
• Substanzielle Interstützung bei der Abfassung von internationalen Projektanträgen 
• Fachliche Recherchen
• Vorbereitung und Durchführung von Begutachtungsprozessen

 Ihr Profil

• Sehr gut bis gut abgeschlossenes Master-Studium, mögliche Studiumshintergründe: Philosophie, Medizinethik, Politik-, Kultur- oder Sozialwissenschaften
• Koordinationserfahrung von nationalen oder internationalen Forschungsverbünden sind von Vorteil
• Fachliche Kenntnisse aus dem Feld der Wissenschaftsphilosophie, -ethik oder angrenzende Fächer sind von Vorteil
• Fließende Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift
• Sehr gute Deutschkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift
• Organisationstalent und hohe Selbstständigkeit
• Starke Kommunikationskompetenz 

2. Eine*n wiss. Mitarbeiter*in,50% TVL13

als Fachwissenschaftler*in im Bereich Medizin- und Gesundheitsethik

befristet auf 14 Monate ab dem 01.09.22. (ein ggf. späterer Beginn ist möglich)

Die Stelle ist integriert in das BMBF-geförderte Drittmittel Projekt PANDORA (Informationen unter pandora-forscht.de/). Zusammen mit Professorin Sabine Wöhlke von der Hochschule für angewandte Wissenschaft Hamburg (HAW) untersuchen wir die ethischen Aspekte von Digitalisierungsinitiativen im medizinischen Bereich, die von Patient*innenorganisationen selbst betrieben oder mitgetragen werden.

Ihre Aufgaben

• Unterstützung ggf. bei sozialempirischer Erhebung von lnterviewdaten mit Patient*innen und Vertreter*innen von Patientenverbänden
• Qualitative Datenanalyse von bereits erhobenen Material und wissenschaftliche Auswertung für internationale Publikationen
• Kommunikation und Dissemination von Projektergebnissen in die breitere Öffentlichkeit (Internetbeiträge, Tagungsvorträge)
•  Ausbau bestehender Netzwerker für Folgeanträge
• Mitarbeit an der Weiterentwicklung  von Forschungsfragen und -anträge

Ihr Profil

• Sehr gut bis gut abgeschlossenes Master-Studium, mögliche Studiumshintergründe: Philosophie, Medizinethik, Politik-, Kultur- oder Sozialwissenschaften
• Fachliche Kenntnisse aus dem Feld der Wissenschaftsphilosophie, -ethik oder angrenzende Fächer sind von Vorteil
• Fließende Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift
• Sehr gute Deutschkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift
• Organisationstalent und hohe Selbstständigkeit
• Starke Kommunikationskompetenz

The research group "Culture and Ethics of Biomedicine" headed by Univ.-Prof. Dr. Silke Schicktanz at the Institute for Ethics and History of Medicine at the University Medical Center Göttingen conducts research on current topics in bioethics, science ethics, and health ethics and is internationally active in research. We are looking to fill two open positions:

1. Research associate 50% TVL13

limited to 24 months, 01.09.22 to 31.8.24

This includes

Your profile

• Master’s degree (Very good to good), possible study backgrounds: Philosophy, medical ethics, political, cultural or social sciences.
• Coordination experience of national or international research networks is an advantage
• Specialized knowledge in the field of philosophy of science, ethics, or related subjects is an advantage
• Fluent written and spoken English
• Very good written and spoken German
• Organizational talent and a high degree of independence
• Strong communication skills

2. Scientific Research Assistant, 50% TVL13

as a specialist scientist in the field of medical or health ethics

limited to 14 months from 01.09.22. (a later start is also possible).

The position is integrated into the BMBF-funded project PANDORA (further information at pandora-forscht.de/). Together with Professor Sabine Wöhlke from the University of Applied Sciences Hamburg (HAW), we are investigating the ethical aspects of digitization initiatives in the medical field, which are operated or co-supported by patient organizations themselves.

Tasks:

• Support, if necessary, in the socio-empirical collection of interview data with patients and representatives of patient organizations.
• Qualitative data analysis of already collected material and scientific evaluation for the purpose of international publication
• Communication and dissemination of project results to a broader public (internet contributions, conference presentations)
• Expansion of existing networkers for follow-up applications
• Collaboration in the further development of research questions and proposals
• Written and spoken communication in English and German

Your profile
