24.-26. Januar 2023: ethnografische Filmtage des Instituts für Ethnologie und Kulturwissenschaft der Universität Bremen
Die ethnografischen Filmtage des Instituts für Ethnologie und Kulturwissenschaft der Universität Bremen finden in diesem Jahr vom 24.-26. Januar zum elften Mal statt. Mitarbeitende und Studierende des Instituts haben gemeinsam ein vielfältiges Programm zusammengestellt. An drei aufeinanderfolgenden Abenden werden spannende und aktuelle ethnologische Filme gezeigt, die unter anderem Migration und Dekolonialisierung zum Thema haben. Anschließend stehen die Filmemacher:innen, unter denen sich auch Studierende befinden, für Fragen und Diskussion bereit.
Tag 1 und 2 der Filmtage finden auf dem Campus der Universität Bremen statt, den Abschluss bilden wir im Kino City 46. Eine Zuschaltung per Zoom ist außerdem möglich. Die Filme werden in der jeweiligen Originalfassung mit englischen Untertiteln gezeigt. Viele Filmemacher:innen werden anwesend sein und im Anschluss für Fragen des Publikums zur Verfügung stehen. Die Gespräche werden überwiegend auf Englisch stattfinden.

The ethnographic Film Festival of the Department of Anthropology and Cultural Research at the University of Bremen will take place for the eleventh time this year from 24 to 26 January. Staff and students of the Institute have jointly put together a varied programme. On three consecutive evenings, many exciting and current ethnological films with subjects like migration, decolonization and others will be shown and subsequently discussed with the filmmakers.
The first and second day of the festival will take place at Campus of the University of Bremen, the last day will be held at Cinema City 46. Participation via Zoom is possible as well. The films will be screened in their original version with English subtitles. Many filmmakers will be present and will be available to answer questions from the audience afterwards. The discussions will be held in English for the most part.
