Digital Futures in the Making: Imaginaries, Politics, and Materialities
You are kindly invited to participate at the 9th International Working Conference of the Digital Anthropology Commission German Society for Cultural Anthropology and Folklore Studies (DGEKW).
We welcome you to REGISTER for the "Digital Futures in the Making: Imaginaries, Politics, and Materialities" conference, which strives to present and discuss the plurality of approaches to the study of future-making, mundanization of digital technologies, futures of digital anthropology and open science. The conference will be held on-site at the University of Hamburg (Germany) from 15 to 16 September 2022, with a pre-conference day on 14 September 2022 scheduled for experimental workshops and studios on digital tools and collaborative ethnographic research.

This year's conference topics are focused, but not limited to recent challenges in scholarly communication:
- Ethical digital futures (digital research and data ethics, envisioning the futures of work, etc.)
- Digital infrastructuring and materialities
- Digitalization of cultural heritage and heritagization of digital culture
- Data politics within and beyond the pandemic
- Human-computer interaction in AI and beyond
- Sustainability, equality, and participation in digital futures
