As the corona virus holds the world firmly in its grip, human life outside the digital realm has come to a halt. Yet inside the digital, the proliferation of meetings, but also concurring worldviews and explanations of an ungraspable phenomenon has reached new heights. Because of the social and cultural austerity we are experiencing, the significance and appreciation of life before corona has been altered, causing many of us to individually re-examine the values our future lives should be based on. People say "you don't know what you've got until it's gone". Truth is, you knew what you had, you just never thought you'd lose it.
We would like to dedicate this section to you, dear readers, and your experience of a historically unique moment in time. So we would like to invite you to contribute! Send us your thoughts. You are free to choose the medium of expression - painting, text, images, sound, video... - that you are most comfortable with in order to express what you want to.
Our aim is to make visible the different lifeworlds and lived experiences that are constantly changing and challenged. We are aware that these experiences can diverge immensely. Not everyone has the means, the time and the privilege to reflect on the current situation. Nevertheless, we want to open up a space for discussion and shed a light on the multiplicity of lived experiences.
Last, but not least, we hope to exhibit your share here as a witness of the contemporary confluence of history that will hopefully enable the emergence of new potentials for a brighter future to come. In this sense: Thank you very much for caring and sharing.
