We offer

Responsibilities

  • Conceptualization and realization of an independent research project to achieve a PhD in social anthropology
  • Teaching: one course per semester at the Department of Social and Cultural Anthropology
  • Assistance with organisational and administrative tasks

Requirements

  • M.A. in social or cultural anthropology
  • Strong theoretical and empirical interest in the field of medical anthropology and/or anthropology of science and/or political anthropology and/or or economic anthropology
  • Regional specialization on South Asia is desired
  • Ethnographic fieldwork experience
  • Proficiency in English; fluency in German is an asset but not a condition
  • Independence and ability to work in teams
