Beschreibung
The Jean Rouch International Film Festival is one of the most important documentary film events in Europe. Founded in 1982 by the filmmaker and anthropologist Jean Rouch (1917-2004), it is held annually in November in Paris. Over a period of 3 weeks, it screens more than 70 documentary films, showcased in the international competition or in thematic programs. All screenings and events are free of charge.
Registration requirements (submission deadline 15th April 2020)
- Films completed after January 1st 2019
- There is no screening fee for the films selected for the Competition Programme
- No film may be withdrawn from the festival programme after its selection
- Each filmmaker may submit only one film
- Films which have been submitted in previous years are not eligible
- Preview format : online secure screener (e.g Vimeo) of the entire film. Trailers are not allowed
- A copy of each selected film will be kept by the Comité du Film Ethnographique, as part of the Festival archive and for internal purposes
- The results of the selection will be announced in early July 2020, on our website homepage: http://comitedufilmethnographique.com/.
- No personal letters will be sent to filmmakers/producers whose films are not selected.
