15th EASA Biennial Conference

The 15th Biennial Conference of the European Association of Social Anthropologists (EASA) is taking place from August 14 to 17, 2018 at the Stockholm University in Sweden. This years Theme will be "Staying, Moving, Settling".

Staying, Moving, Settling is the theme of the 15th EASA biennial conference which will be hosted by Stockholm University, in the picturesque Swedish capital situated between the Baltic Sea and Lake Mälaren. Join in for four days of panels, labs, plenary discussions and more from August 14 to 17, 2018.

The conference could only accept 140 of the 300 panel proposals received. The organisers apologise to the convenors of the many good proposals they were unable to include in the programme, but hope you may still find place for your own work within the panels accepted.

Shahram Khosravi is Professor of Social Anthropology at Stockholm University and the author of the books: Young and Defiant in Tehran, University of Pennsylvania Press (2008); The Illegal Traveler: an auto-ethnography of borders, Palgrave (2010); Precarious Lives: Waiting and Hope in Iran, University of Pennsylvania Press (2017), and After Deportation: Ethnographic Perspectives, Palgrave (2017, edited volume). He has been an active writer in the Swedish press and has also written fiction.
